The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5 will premiere on Netflix on September 26, 2026, with new episodes arriving every Saturday at 8 PM in India. Kapil Sharma returns alongside Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu.
When does The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5 release?
Season 5 begins on Saturday, September 26, on Netflix. The announced India release time is 8 PM, and the show will continue with a weekly Saturday schedule. That makes the new season a quick return after Season 4 concluded in March 2026.
Who is returning for Season 5?
The familiar ensemble remains central to the show. Kapil Sharma leads the cast, joined by Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, with Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu also returning. Netflix says the season will again mix celebrity conversations, comedy sketches, playful roasting and unscripted banter.
What is different about the new season?
Netflix is positioning Season 5 around India's festive calendar. The promotional theme is built around a festival of laughter, with the run expected to stretch across major celebrations including Diwali and Christmas. The format itself is not being reinvented: the attraction remains the chemistry between the regular cast and a changing lineup of celebrity guests, newsmakers and other personalities.
Have the Season 5 guests been announced?
Netflix has confirmed that the new season will feature celebrities, newsmakers and personalities from different fields, but a complete episode-by-episode guest list has not been announced. Any names circulating without confirmation should therefore be treated as speculation until Netflix or the show's official accounts reveal them.
Where can you watch it?
The Great Indian Kapil Show is a Netflix streaming series, so Season 5 will be available through Netflix in India. Viewers looking for the first episode should check the service from 8 PM IST on September 26, with subsequent episodes scheduled for Saturdays.
Why the Season 5 announcement matters
The announcement gives Netflix a recognisable Indian entertainment property for the festive period and gives viewers a firm answer to the biggest questions around the show's return: the date, weekly time and core cast. The next major information to watch for is the guest lineup, which is likely to drive interest around individual episodes as the premiere approaches.
