Samsung has launched its 2026 Bespoke AI home appliance range in India, expanding its connected-home push with a Google Gemini-powered Family Hub refrigerator and two new WindFree air conditioners. Prices start at ₹69,990 for the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC, while the Family Hub refrigerator costs ₹4,00,690.

The launch matters beyond the usual smart-appliance upgrade cycle. Samsung says every second appliance it currently sells in India is a Bespoke AI model, while its SmartThings user base in the country has been growing. The company is increasingly treating refrigerators, air conditioners, laundry products and wearables as parts of one connected system rather than isolated devices.

Samsung Bespoke AI appliances 2026 price in India

Samsung has announced three headline products and their India pricing. The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner is priced from ₹69,990. The Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC with WindFree starts at ₹1,60,000 and is offered in 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.1 kW cooling capacities. The Family Hub Refrigerator with AI Vision is priced at ₹4,00,690.

Samsung says the new appliances are available through authorised channel partners across India. Buyers should still check the exact model, capacity, installation requirements and retailer price before ordering, particularly for the cassette AC, where installation can be more involved than a conventional wall-mounted unit.

What Google Gemini does inside the Family Hub refrigerator

The Family Hub is the most unusual product in the lineup. Its 32-inch display acts as a control and information surface, while AI Vision and AI Food Manager can recognise supported food items, help track what is stored and suggest recipes. Samsung has integrated Google Gemini to provide contextual AI experiences, including a Video-to-Recipe feature.

The idea is that a user can move from identifying available ingredients to choosing a dish and finding a recipe video without reaching for another device. The refrigerator also supports Now Brief for personalised information such as schedules and weather, plus notes, entertainment, Family Care and Pet Care features.

Gemini is increasingly appearing outside phones and standalone chatbots. Headline Thread has also covered Google's latest Gemini features on Android and boAt's Gemini-powered smart audio push, illustrating how conversational AI is spreading into everyday consumer hardware.

Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC focuses on comfort and air quality

The ₹69,990 Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC combines AI-enabled controls with PM1.0 purification and SmartThings connectivity. Samsung's WindFree approach is designed to distribute cooled air without the strong direct draft associated with a conventional AC vent.

Samsung is also tying cooling more closely to its wearable ecosystem. Its Wearable Good Sleep feature can work with compatible Galaxy wearables and use sleep information to adjust AC settings. Triple Motion Wings provide more control over airflow direction.

Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC targets larger spaces

The Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC is a different proposition. Starting at ₹1,60,000, it uses 23,000 micro-holes to deliver Samsung's WindFree cooling and is available in three capacities. Samsung claims AI Energy Mode can reduce energy use by up to 30%, although actual savings will vary with conditions, settings and usage.

Both new AC lines can be managed through SmartThings and Samsung's Home Appliance Remote Management system, which can help with remote monitoring and service.

SmartThings is the real centre of Samsung's AI Home strategy

The common layer across the range is SmartThings. Samsung wants compatible appliances to share information and automate routines across the home. Select products use an AI Home screen as a central control panel, while an upgraded Bixby adds Voice ID so different household members can receive personalised responses.

Family Care can generate alerts for unusual situations such as a lack of expected activity, while Pet Care includes activity information and care reminders through the SmartThings app. Samsung is also offering seven years of software updates through SmartThings for supported appliances.

What about Samsung's laundry appliances?

Samsung is using the same AI Home strategy across laundry products. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo can use AI Wash & Dry to detect fabric-related conditions and adjust washing and drying, while a Pet Care Wash Cycle is aimed at pet accessories. These products form part of the broader ecosystem, but the three products with newly announced headline India pricing in this launch are the Family Hub refrigerator and the two AC lines.

Are the AI features worth paying extra for?

That depends more on the household than on the AI label. A refrigerator that suggests recipes is unlikely to justify a ₹4 lakh purchase on that feature alone. The stronger case is for households already using SmartThings, Galaxy wearables and multiple compatible Samsung appliances, because the value comes from devices working together.

Energy management can also be useful, but buyers should distinguish manufacturer claims from guaranteed savings. Cooling costs depend heavily on room size, insulation, climate, temperature settings and usage. Similarly, food recognition and contextual AI features should be treated as conveniences rather than substitutes for checking expiry dates or food safety yourself.

Privacy and long-term support matter more as appliances get smarter

Connected appliances can handle household routines, device usage and other personal context, so security deserves the same attention as convenience. Samsung says the new ecosystem uses Knox security and supports software updates through SmartThings. Buyers should keep devices updated, secure their Samsung account and review SmartThings permissions when connecting additional services.

The wider shift is similar to what is happening with voice assistants. Amazon's newly launched Alexa+ in India is also moving from simple commands toward contextual, multi-device actions. Samsung's approach differs by building that intelligence directly around appliances and SmartThings.

What buyers should check before purchasing

Before buying, compare the appliance on its core job first: refrigerator capacity and layout, AC cooling capacity and efficiency, installation needs, warranty and service availability. Then decide how much value SmartThings, Gemini, AI Vision, wearable integration and automation add for your home.

For buyers already invested in Samsung's ecosystem, the 2026 lineup makes the company's connected-home proposition significantly more cohesive. For everyone else, the most sensible approach is to treat AI as an additional feature and make the purchase decision on appliance performance, price and long-term ownership costs first.
